Oh, nature, dear nature,
You are beautiful in every way,
from the buzzing, yellow bumble bees,
to the dark and fearful caves.
Oh, nature, dear nature,
You help our flowers bloom,
with shining, sunny mornings,
and wet, rainy afternoons.
Oh, nature, dear nature,
You contrast with delight,
your bright, cheerful days,
and your dark, moonlit nights.
But nature, Mother Nature,
We have burned down your trees,
and with our ugly disrespect,
polluted all of your seas.
And nature, poor nature,
We still throw you under the bus,
as if we don’t know,
it will come back to us.
