Hurricane Ian hits Southeast Part of Florida

Hurricane Ian has destroyed a series of bridges, including mainland Florida to Sanibel Island. This is home for around 6,500 people. Over 391,000 people are without power in Florida. This storm caused  a lot of damage and flooding to fort Myers and other gulf coast cities.Today I will be interviewing Zoriana, 7th grader and resident in Miami, Florida, about the weather.

How did the storm affect your city?

It actually bring a lot of damage Like the wind was very strong and fast, and because of this, the trees fell, things also flew away from peoples balconies and from mine too. in some regions, hurricane destroyed people’s house and cut off the electricity.

How high did the flood rise?

I think it raised to around 25 cm.

How long was the Hurricane for?

It was for a week.

For how long did you skip school?

I skipped a whole week of school.

How do you feel about the storm?

It was cool that i skipped school but the storm was giving me headaches and i also don’t like rain i like sunny weather better.

Did the weather get better? 

Yes, it did got a lot better.
