Last Thursday, I was walking through the halls and noticed just how beautiful the weather was. Temperatures were drifting through the low eighties and the sun was shining. This got me thinking about how much I miss enjoying my lunch outside. I love sitting in the sun and being out in the fresh air. We sare already in school all day, so to just have a little bit longer outside is a refreshing addition to my school day.

I asked Mr. Smiley when the outdoor picnic tables would be available. He informed me that he had been keeping a close eye on the ground to watch out for any mud, but that he hadn’t seen any in the last few days.

Mr. Smiley then talked to all of the 7th graders at lunch and explained that the 8th graders would be testing out the tables on Wednesday April 12th, since the 6th and 7th graders would be doing online school due to the PSAT testing, and that on Thursday April 13th, the tables would officially be in season!

So, as of last Thursday, April 13th, the outdoor tables are open to all grades, and students can enjoy their lunch in the fresh air! But on the colder days, all students will be eating inside.
